Sunderland striker Will Grigg has been left out of Northern Ireland’s squad for their Euro 2020 qualifiers as he recovers from an on-going ankle injury.

Having left the last Northern Ireland squad early due to the injury, manager Michael O’Neill has opted not to call up the £3m striker this time around for their qualifiers with Estonia and Belarus.

Grigg has been plagued with the problem throughout the second-half of the campaign, although he was still able to come off the bench in the League One play-off final defeat against Charlton Athletic.

Grigg has not exactly set the Stadium Of Light on fire this season, so will no doubt be hoping for a solid pre-season to make amends.
